Message from the Chair

Welcome to the Norwalk Democratic Party!

National and state Democratic party leaders, media pundits, and even a growing number of academics, are now stressing the critical importance of local political engagement. I agree.

As the Chair Norwalk Democratic Town Committee, I invite you to become an active member of our party.  The first and most important step is to vote.  Your next opportunity to make an impact as a voter is in the general election on Tuesday, November 3, 2020, when we will be seeking to re-elect US Congressman Jim Himes, Senate Majority Leader Bob Duff (25th Senate District),  Lucy Dathan for the 142nd, Chris Perone for the 137th and Travis Simms for the 140th Assembly Districts. We’re also seeking to elect Stephanie Thomas for the open 143rd Assembly District Seat.

Another way to get involved is by volunteering, making a financial contribution, serving on a board or commission, or attending local meetings and events.  We have five District Committees that focus not only on citywide issues, but also the unique issues of various neighborhoods and communities. We invite you to become involved with your local District Committee.

For information on how and where to vote, upcoming events, meeting dates and locations (including local District and Town and City Committee meetings), and to make a donation, please navigate our website.

We’re excited to work together as with our fellow Democrats to help make our diverse and growing city a place we can all be proud of.

This is a crucial year for us to push back against President Trump and his destructive republican agenda!

Please join us.

Thank You,

Eloisa Melendez
