Absentee Voting FAQ

Make your plan to vote NOW!

First, check your voter registration. Ensure your address and other information is accurate at myvote.ct.gov/lookup.

If you are not registered to vote, or need to change or update your registration, you can do so online or at Norwalk town hall by October 27th.

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, all voters are eligible to vote via absentee ballot. Every registered voter will receive an absentee ballot application by mid-September.

You can also download and fill out the application from this website, or get a copy at the Norwalk town hall.

Ensure your vote is received!

The easiest and most reliable way to return your absentee ballot application is to use the ballot drop box.  Turn your application AND ballot in to your ballot drop box as soon as possible.

Filling out and returning your absentee ballot:

Once your application has been received by your Town Clerk, an absentee ballot will be sent to you after October 2nd. When it arrives, be sure to:

1. Fill it out completely

2. Follow the instructions to place it inside the correct envelope.

3. Sign it

4. Date it

5. Seal it

6. Return it

Absentee ballots must be received by the Town Clerk by 8:00 pm on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3rd. Postage is prepaid, but the easiest and most reliable way to be sure your ballot arrives in time is to use the secure ballot drop boxes located around Norwalk.
