Campaign School

Full day training for anyone interested in running for office, managing or working on a political campaign, being a more effective activist, and networking with people from around the state focused on keeping Connecticut Blue.

Registration begins at 8:30 AM with breakfast and a keynote at 9am. Choose your own sessions or follow a track. Lunch provided with additional speakers.

Choose Your Track:
Municipal and State Elections
Learn how to manage a state or local race, activate volunteers and run a field operation, get tips for social media and traditional messaging, fundraising, and how to comply with election laws. Special focus will be paid to how state-level races differ from municipal races.
Activist
Already part of an organization or fired up and react for action, this track focuses on how to be an effective community leader. Topics range from raising money to honing networking skills. Learn to prioritize projects, talk to legislators, and which forms of communication are most effective. Candidates will have access to consultation sessions throughout the day.
Candidate
Whether you’re thinking of running, definitely running, or already hold public office this is the guidance you need. Messaging, self-marketing, and strategies that win are just a few of the topics covered. Each candidate will also have the option of scheduling a free consultation session with professional campaign consultants and network with elected officials from around the state.
