BIOGRAPHY

Lucy Dathan has represented Connecticut’s 142nd House District, which covers New Canaan and part of Norwalk, since 2019, when she became the first Democrat to win the seat. For 2025–2026 she serves as House Chair of the Government Oversight Committee and continues on the Appropriations and Human Services committees.

Born and raised in St. Louis, Dathan studied accounting and business at Santa Clara University and qualified as a Certified Public Accountant after starting her career as an auditor in San Jose. She later worked in finance in Poland and London, including as chief financial officer of two venture-backed firms. She has three grown children.
